مَنْ عَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًۭا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌۭ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُۥ حَيَوٰةًۭ طَيِّبَةًۭ ۖ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Whoever does good, whether male or female, and is a believer, We will surely bless them with a good life, and We will certainly reward them according to the best of their deeds (Nahl: 97)

This year’s theme, “Hayat Tayyiba” focuses on living the real good life. Do you want a boring life? That’s easy. Just do what everyone else does. Don’t ask difficult questions. Don’t think too hard. And don’t do anything worth doing. Most people lead boring lives. They keep to themselves and do their own thing. But that’s not the life for you. You’re young, full of potential, and ready to take on the world.

At the Muslim Youth Summit you will learn what it means to lead The Good Life. Here’s a hint: it’s not about fancy cars, designer clothes, or nice shoes — it’s about bigger things (you can keep the car and the shoes though). It’s about what you stand for. It’s about working for something that’s greater than yourself. It’s about making the right choices and doing the right thing. It’s about being a leader, and staying true to who you are. Most of all, it’s about living a life that, when you look back on it, you’ll think: “thank God I attended the Muslim Youth Summit."
